HISTORY: Her mother taught her all she knew. Being a housewife and having an only child made that easy to do. Little Everette was schooled well, moderately talented at everything she tried, and money was not an issue while growing up. So what would cause such a fine young woman to turn her back and climb down the social ladder into the lower classes by choice? Her father worked in the military, at quite a high ranking as well, but because of his occupation, she never developed a good relationship with him thanks to his absence. So when her mother died, Eve had lost all her reason to stay and traveling became her one companion. Elysium, such a beautiful place, had wonder after wonder, from the elegant manors to the shoddy homes lining the streets in the slums. But it was there that Everette discovered empathy and humbleness and respect. She respected the people who worked day in and day out for a living, and yet found reasons to laugh and be thankful. She discovered their common goal and decided to take part in helping her new family achieve it.[/blockquote]
ROLE PLAY SAMPLE: With each step, Everette's worn boots faded slowly into a new face of the color spectrum: scum. You'd think it was the new fashion fad by how heavily she was wearing it on, and how often you saw it in these parts of the cities. Smudges of grime and dirt decorated her alabaster cheeks, even smeering at the top of her right brow. No wonder no one bothered to pay much attention to the stranger, for she looked just as everyone else.
The people meandering past would smile at one another before placing their hands to the spots that hurt the worse from such a long day's work. And even though the sky dwindled to such a midnight color, it was still early in the night.
Everette shrugged the strap of her knapsack tighter against her slender shoulder as she edged past the worn for wear citizens in the shoddy, lower class district. She figured the loudest building of the all had something to offer, perhaps an hour's rest and a drink. Little did she know was just how much it offered when she entered the Cat's Paw.
