Although technology may have settled upon the forefront of mankind's first and foremost step toward survival and evolution, there are still many things of old that have been tried and true such as Elysia's plantations. It's these plantations that have fed the entirety of Elysia's populace at one point or another; food being filtered to each city and military leg. They stand true and for what they have been meant for since being erected.
Elysia's plantations linger upon the fertile soil of Elysia's northlands and their sight may even be considered majestic from afar and even upclose. Truth be told, Elysia's land has been ravaged by the rush of mankind's push toward a true Golden Era, and these plantations are the few remaining "relics," an art not sullied by mankind's inventions or innovations. They cultivate through methods that have been proven and continue to do so.
Each plantation holds to a respective ten acres that are walled and fenced for privacy. As for what are grown and cultivated? It's dependent on the owner which are often traders who leave trusted overseers to watch over their growth. The fields are teeming with servants though and life is somewhat simplistic; a breath of fresh air as compared to city smog.
The workers and hands are treated with mild respect; nothing more and nothing less. They have been given opportunities to live within cottages offset, or even placed, at and or near each plantation's manor. They are the driving force behind the task that breathes life into Elysia.
There's little that makes each plantation stand out from one another besides their overseers and the traders who own such. As of late Elysia's government has been seizing plantations for their own needs though; using the plantations directly to supply the mining expeditions within Elysia's northern reach. So, a military presence nearby has become somewhat of the norm as some government officials have taken over overseering task of certain plantations,
Still, the sight of these fertile lands being worked upon has been something that has come with each passing year and era, and the sight whispers of such to still come. It's the back bone of civilization and life altogether.
