Thalasa's square is not for the faint of heart. In fact, one must know where they're going when daring to traverse across this busy market place and center of commerce. It's a public place filled to the brim with pitchmen barking to sell their wares and goods being bartered here or there. It's here where the traders of Soleil Hill, and even from across Elysia, tend to gather for business or events being held upon the commons of Thalasa's Square.
Besides the simplistic wares being bartered out on the main thoroughfare, Thalasa's Square is home to the largest trading center within the nation of Elysia known simply as Fabrica. Fabrica stands out amongst the teeming men and women of the city, and even more so against the backdrop of the ocean facing such and the city, and even the open world, on the other side.
The Fabrica trading center is topped with a large onion dome that glints when the sun strikes such right. It's said to be seen from sea during the day and even at night - trusting that the skies aren't clouded. Fabrica's also known for the wide stained-glass artwork that dapples the round and circular sides of the center. It's home to the hoarse voices of buyers, sellers and auctioneers; also the home to strict traders who like to stay close to their work. Brokers likewise tend to stray here to work out their own dealings. Fabrica deals with politics pertaining to business and business only, and the center's guarded at all hours of the day throughout the entirety of the year. Yet, let it be known that this is not the only sight within the square.
It's said that the commons of Thalasa's square may be the most magnificent throughout the entire nation. Why so? Simply for the reasoning behind the work and effort placed into the construction. It's there where flanking pillars of marble, and nothing more, linger and flank cobble stone foot paths. It's also here where one may find glorifying statues of the first families who had made their name known and placed their foot here. It's likewise here one may have a bit of time to gather history on Thalasa or simply catch a breather from the hustle and bustle of the bazaar and trade market.
